The Color Run: Everything you need to know!
The Color Run Philadelphia, the world’s happiest 5k, is less than 2 days away! But before you head to the starting line there is some important information you need to know.
All runners must pick up their race day packet today or tomorrow at Race Village Eakins Oval at Philadelphia Museum of Art on the Benjamin Franklin Pkwy. Friday’s pick up times are from 12pm to 7pm and Saturday July 7th from 7am to 3pm. All you need to pick up your packet is a photo ID; if you plan to pick up a friends be sure to bring the signed “packet pick up waiver” on their behalf.
I have done tons of races but the Color Run’s packet swag might be the best I’ve ever seen! Every runner will receive a T-shirt, race bib, wrist band, The Color Run tattoo, headband, race information, promotional items and your personal packet of color. Make sure you SAVE your color packet for the post race festival!
What to pack on race day:
· Change of Clothes
· Change of shoes
· Color Packet
· Garbage bags
· Cash & Credit Card
· Towels (paper/cloth) *Sunscreen *Bandana *Sunglasses *Camera/Cell phone
Race Day:
Participants should report to the starting line at 6:30am and the first wave of runners will start at 7am. The next wave will advance to the start line and begin 5 minutes after. The last wave will leave around 8:00am.

After the event you can chose to sport your neon painted gear around the city or visit one of the air blown cleaning stations on your way out! Happy Color Running!
