Summer Ale Festival comes to the Zoo
Over 1,300 exciting and exotic animals will be your companions at this year’s Summer Ale Festival at the Philadelphia Zoo. The event features a “Philly’s Favorite Beer,” competition along with live entertainment. Over ten local breweries will be offering their best brews throughout the day. Many restaurants will be on hand so guests can sample the best bites of Philly.
The festival will be held in conjunction with the Zoo’s campaign for “The Year of the Orangutan.” The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness for the orangutan species, and the dangers facing them.
Tickets are only being sold in advance. Tickets start at $65 and VIP packages are available. A designated driver ticket is also available for $35 and includes non-alcoholic drinks. The Summer Ale Festival will be taking place all over the Philadelphia Zoo and runs from 6:30pm-10pm. Shuttle services will be running from 30thand Market Street to the Zoo continuously throughout the evening.
